Naval thinker Col. Robert Work (ret) will, later today, be moderating a panel entitled “Straight Talk from Warfare Commanders.” But remember, if you WEST 2009 attendees get a chance to see him on the WEST 2009 conference floor, ask for an early copy of Col. Work’s long-anticipated report: “The US Navy: Charting A Course for Tomorrow’s Fleet.”
While Col. Work toiled away on the Obama Transition Team, the report sat in a locked file cabinet someplace in the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments’ Washington Headquarters. However, it will finally get released next week, on February 17 at 10 AM over at the Capitol (SVC 203/202). So if you aren’t at WEST, make it over there…because I’m sure you’ll read about the report back here.
